Welcome to Camp Meeting 2015! Much thought, planning, work, and prayer have gone into the development of this year’s program. I am delighted that you have chosen to join us! This promises to be a most interesting month at LLUC!

Our theme this year is simplicity. The sermon series for first and third services is titled, Simple Life. It is a series I have eagerly anticipated—because I need it myself! We will look at simplifying our time, our space, our money, our rest, and our boundaries.

Then, the sermon series for ReLive is titled, Simple Texts. Pastor Miguel Mendez’s focus will be on some of those simple texts that we take for granted. I think we will discover that their simplicity is misleading—for they actually have deep meaning.

To receive the greatest benefit this year, I recommend two things. First, plan to join us for the afternoon seminars each Sabbath at 3:30 p.m. They will be an extension of the morning’s focus on Simple Life. They will provide tools to carry out the theme of the day. And second, buy and read two worthwhile books. They will challenge you as you simplify your life. They are: 

Simplify: Ten Practices to Unclutter Your Soul, by Bill Hybels 

Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less, by Greg McKeown

Finally, pray for God’s rich blessings on us all this year!
