INTRODUCTION TO THE SERMON
 
Welcome to Camp Meeting 2012! I am excited at the prospects of what God has in store for us this year! Our theme is living life without regrets. Our sermon series title is A Bucket List for the Young … and the Young at Heart. Our focus will be on five choices we can make to improve the quality of our lives and relationships in the here and now, as well as to defeat the possibility of later regret. I urge you to pray for God’s Spirit, blessing and presence among us.
 
Our camp meeting journey includes “visiting” five locations that are on many people’s bucket list. Today we begin with a visit to a local destination: Hollywood. “Can any good thing come out of Hollywood?” you might ask. In a word, yes! While there are any number of lessons we can learn from this first stop on our journey, today our focus is on one that is important enough to be life-changing.
 
I close with a brief word of gratitude to the many people who have been at work behind the scenes to make camp meeting a reality. Thank you so much for your faithful service to Jesus and this church!
