Meditation:

Is God partial?  Does He play favorites?  How can you be sure He doesn’t predestine some to soar while others sour?  The list of those who seem to succeed victoriously in Christian fulfillment is much shorter than the roll call for failure.  Certainly, there is always a formula leading to the good life, and for sure, God has His.  Have you thought about it lately?

It is a privilege to welcome Mervyn Warren and Calvin Rock to our pulpit today.
Mervyn Warren is dean of Religion and Theology at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, where he has served on the faculty since 1961. Calvin Rock is
retired after serving the church as a pastor, educator, and vice president of the
General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

We also welcome those of you who have joined us for this special weekend of
events celebrating “African American Seventh-day Adventists: Healers in a Multicultural Nation.”
