Sermon: “The Measure of a Life Well Lived”  - by Filip Milosavljevic

Pastoral Welcome: Gilda Roddy

Scripture Reading: Malachi 4:5,6

Children's Feature: Shawna Campbell & Mr. Wacky

Sermon Notes:

Human nature loves to measure success. We measure success in many ways:
in dollars, in trophies, in accolades, in jobs, in meaningful relationships, in church
attendance, in winning. But how do we measure success as a family? “The wellbeing
of society, the success of the church, the prosperity of the nation,” says Ellen
White on the topic of families, “depend upon home influences” (Adventist Home, p.
15). Have we ever thought to measure success without using external factors like
prestige, a degree, bank account, a nice house, and beautiful spouse and kids, but
upon the health and well being of our family internally and spiritually?

This morning we explore the modern Christian family and its impact on our overall
church, and nation, in this generation and the generation to come. Adam and Eve
and their sons will be our focus, along with a powerful ancient prophecy in Malachi.
We can learn a lot from the broken lives of the original family to understand the
measure of a life well lived.
May the Spirit of God move on your heart, as He has on mine, in preparation.

Filip Milosavljevic,
Youth Ministry Pastor
