Vacation Bible School! What a week! Thank you to Pastor Shawna and her entire team for

their diligent work in making Jesus more real to the children of our church and community.

The central premise of VBS is that of bringing the Bible to life for the younger set. Remember, after all, that it is called Vacation Bible School. Thus, it gives children the exposure to
age-appropriate ways of “studying” the Bible. I cannot overstate the value of such exposure.
Remember, LLUC’s purpose is growing disciples, and, remember, one of the values of a
growing disciple is the study of the Word.

That is our topic today: studying the Bible.As we turn our attention to this issue in the sermon, it will become clear that the study of the Bible, in age-appropriate ways, is vital for every
disciple of Jesus.
