  What can God do? Seems like an easy question, huh? Our reflexive answer is, “God can do anything and everything He wants! He’s God.” But I don’t believe the answer is that simple. For some reason, God has written the rules a little differently. He has given us a choice. We have a choice to release the power of God or to bind Him. That’s right; the Bible tells us that there were times that Jesus was not able to do many miracles because the people chose to not have faith (Mark 6).

As we conclude this series on God, the Holy Spirit, we must ask ourselves a pen- etrating question: Are we releasing the Holy Spirit to do whatever He wants to do, in us and through us, or are we binding Him with our disbelief and disconnection? What could an Unbound God do in our church and community? It is my prayer that He will give us each a vision of that possibility today.
