Seventh-day Adventists have long held that the three angels of Revelation 14
announce messages of vital importance to those living in times like ours. As the
coming of Christ nears, we have said, what these three angels announce becomes
critical to understand and live.

If that is true—and I urgently affirm that it is—then exactly what are these three
angels announcing? The book of Revelation, after all, frightens many of us.
Filled with symbols and images and metaphors and beasts and destruction
and devastation, some of us have stayed away from it, preferring the more mild
passages in the gospels and epistles. These three messages are not for the faint of
heart!

So what do the warning echoes of these three ancient angels say to us, in 2012, in
Loma Linda, California? It is to such realities that we turn our thoughts in this series.
Please keep this series in your prayers. It is one of the most important passages we
can understand and live.
